Req: BA/BS in Spec Ed, Psychology or related field, minimum 2 yrs experience with adults with intellectual disabilities, valid driver's license.

Qualified Professional/Residential Coordinator: 1st shift, FT. Develop, implements, evaluate, and lead team in plan of care for adults with intellectual abilities in residential & vocational settings.  Supervise group home staff and assist in group homes when needed.  Some live in required.  Req: BA/BS in Spec Ed, Psychology or related field, minimum 2 yrs experience with adults with intellectual disabilities, valid driver's license.

RN FT 2nd Shift/LPN PT & weekend relief (every other weekend): includes every other weekend, Req: NC nursing License, valid NC Driver's license & minimum 2 yr experience in the field of intellectual disabilities.  Provides medical-clinical/hands on nursing care & medication administration in a fast paced residential setting.

Direct Support Professional: PT & weekend relief (every other weekend), all shifts.  Provide total care support, assist with mealtime, activities, and goals for Holy Angels residents. Req: HS/GED; minimum age 21; minimum 2 yrs related experience.  Prefer career readiness certification certificate.

Dietary Assistant: Fulltime (temp) includes every other weekend, 11am to 7:30pm.  Prep, serve, clean and stock.  REQ: HS/GED; health institution food service experience

– A 2-week class to assess & build your workplace skill levels in Reading for Information, Applied Mathematics, and Locating Information using a self-paced, online Key Train &/or WIN curriculum to assess & build workplace skills to prepare for the official WorkKeys Assessment Tests  to get your CRC (Career Readiness Certificate) and be part of our local “certified workforce”!  **Many companies now require or strongly recommend this certification for employment! 

Application and Interviewing Skills – 2-hour workshop that will teach you the skills to properly completing job applications, learn effective  interviewing techniques such as selling yourself in 45 seconds or less.  Resume and Cover Letter Preparation – 2-hour workshop that will allow you to create an actual resume and cover letter to take with you and a copy will be saved at the JobLink Career Center or Gaston YouthWorks Center for you to update as needed! 

Basic Computer Skills for Today’s Job Market /Dislocated Workers– Learn basic computer/keyboarding skills and computer terminology.  Create a polished resume and learn high-tech job search skills using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email, and the Internet. 

CRC+ - Career Readiness Certification Plus – CRC+ offers the “soft skills/work habits” training employers now require all employees must demonstrate through our KeyTrain/WIN Computer Lab Career Skills/Work Habits curriculum.  You can actually print your scores/certificates as you complete each section of lessons to prove to employers that you have the required critical skills they want you to have.  Over 200 lessons available.

Computers for Medical Billing/Office – Learn medical terminology & billing; & computer use to process patient records, schedule appointments, create insurance claims, file and print superbills, reports, statements and claims using Medisoft.  Class also includes professionalism, customer service & communication skills, workplace ethics, business etiquette, confidentiality & more.

Pathways to Massage Therapy – Students explore career paths available in Massage Therapy, along with current and future job markets, and the skills and techniques needed to obtain certification.  Enroll in our 1-day (7 hr) Pathways class and receive some hands-on training (actually give and receive a massage).  Please call Monica Phillips at (704) 922-2270 to pre-register. 

Office & Computer Skills – Learn computer & office terminology, basic computer, keyboarding, internet, and email skills, basic skills in Word, Excel, & Power Point, netiquette, customer service skills, work ethics, employer expectations, career exploration, and job-seeking and keeping skills.  Class also includes an introduction to using Quick Books to prepare for office and computer careers. 

Career Readiness for QuickBooks – YOU can learn an Intro to QuickBooks and practice using the software that so many jobs require.  *For added success in this class, please complete the Pathways to Accounting Careers class first.   

Pathways to Medical Office Administration – Learn basic computer skills using Medisoft to process patient records, schedule appointments, create insurance claims, files, reports, and statements needed for career awareness of positions available in medical office administration. Class includes medical terminology.  3-week class at Belmont Campus! 

Pathways to Accounting Careers – You can learn to use Excel for Accounting careers, spreadsheets, databases, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, & more.  Learn the necessary accounting terminology to be better prepared for the Career Readiness for QuickBooks class & entry-level skill awareness and development for accounting and clerical careers. 

Key Train/WIN/WorkKeys Computer Lab – Drop in computer lab with instructor to assist you in Key Train/WIN (programs to assess & build Math, Reading, Business Writing, Applied Technology, Teamwork, Listening, Locating Information, and Observation skills needed in today’s workplace), Work Keys Assessment Tests to be part of our local Certified Workforce, Keyboarding/Typing tutorials, Resume & Interview Preparation, Internet for completing Job Searches, On-Line Job Applications, and Career Assessments, Medisoft Advanced software, & more!  Offering CRC (Career Readiness Certification) - become part of our local “certified workforce”!
